G Wostenholm Son Zachary Taylor Ixl Bowie

Howdy, thsi g. Wostenholm bowei has a single edged factory polished steel blade.

The top of blade is heavily stamped ixl with g. Wostenholm & son washington works, (a banner flag inscription) the real knife, and the hunters companion.

The ricasso stamp is the noted mounted zachary taylor stamp which should date the knife to the 1848 ot 1851 time frame. 12 inches long overall with 7 1/2 icnh blade.

There is a two piece bone handle mounted on german silver which is pinned to the tang. Very nice pointed bar inlaid into hte handles. Very nice german silver oval guard.

The sheath appears original to the knife with german silver throat and textured aged leather with belt loop. The knife would highlight any collection. Hope teh photos help. Shipipng is $10. We ship to u.
